Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13.10.2026
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing and using DataScope ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. USE OF SERVICE
Permitted Uses
You are granted permission to use the Service for the following purposes:
- • Use the Service for lawful purposes only
- • Upload data that you own or have rights to
- • Share insights within your organization
- • Access our API and documentation with an API key from your account
- • Use and share the analysis results produced from your data
How Expert Touch Works
Expert review is never applied on its own - you ask for it. On a project in your dashboard, the Assign Expert button opens a panel where you can leave written instructions describing what you need checked. You do not choose the specialist: DataScope matches one to the project by its field and the specialist's track record. If no specialist is available, nothing is charged.
The panel states the cost - a flat 500 credits - before you confirm, and those credits are charged when you assign, not when the specialist finishes. This is separate from the credits an AI analysis uses.
On confirmation the specialist is notified and the project shows them as assigned; the assignment then moves through accepted, started and completed as they work. Everything happens inside DataScope - there is no separate channel, and you are not put in direct contact with the specialist.
While an assignment has not yet been accepted or started you can cancel it from the project page, and all 500 credits are returned to your balance. Once a specialist has begun, the credits for that assignment are spent. Expert review reduces the risk of an incorrect result; as section 9 sets out, it does not turn the output into professional advice.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- • Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without written permission
- • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
3. ACCOUNT & SECURITY
Who May Use DataScope
DataScope is available both to individuals using it on their own behalf and to people using it for an organization. If you open an account or accept these Terms for a company, partnership, institution or any other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it, and "you" in these Terms then means that organization as well as you personally. Where you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights that the law of your country of residence gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
Restricted Countries
We do not accept new sign-ups from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba: we refuse sign-ups from IP addresses and email domains in those countries, and do not accept payments with a billing address there. Existing customers keep access to their account and balance.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. DataScope will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
Account Information
You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating your account and to update your information as necessary. Providing false or misleading information may result in account suspension or termination.
Unauthorized Access
You must notify us immediately at support@datascope.digital if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or discover any security vulnerabilities in the Service. We take security seriously and will investigate all reports promptly.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use DataScope.
4. PAYMENT & BILLING
Payment Terms
When you buy credits, you agree to the following payment terms:
- • Credits are purchased as needed with no recurring billing
- • There are no plans, subscriptions or tiers: every credit pack listed on the Pricing page is available to every account, and a purchase adds credits to your balance and nothing else
- • Besides the packs, you can buy a custom amount: any amount from €1 to €20,000, or its equivalent in the currency you pick at the day's rate
- • Price changes are announced on the Pricing page at least 30 days before they apply; credits already in your balance are not affected
- • A payment that fails adds no credits; nothing else happens to your account
- • Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase; see our Refund Policy
No Automatic Billing
DataScope operates on a credit-based system with no automatic renewals or recurring charges. You only pay when you purchase credits, giving you complete control over your spending.
Refund Policy
Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase, to your original payment method. To request a refund, email support@datascope.digital within 14 days of the purchase. Credits you have used are not refunded. For full details, please review our Refund Policy.
Currency
DataScope sells in 12 currencies: euro (EUR), US dollar (USD), Canadian dollar (CAD), Chilean peso (CLP), Turkish lira (TRY), Azerbaijani manat (AZN), Kazakhstani tenge (KZT), Saudi riyal (SAR), Moroccan dirham (MAD), Sri Lankan rupee (LKR), Papua New Guinean kina (PGK) and Japanese yen (JPY). Prices are set in EUR and converted into the currency you select, and you are charged in that currency, at the amount shown to you at checkout - not in EUR. See our Payment Policy for how those rates are set.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DataScope and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to the data you upload to the Service. By uploading data, you grant DataScope a limited license to process and analyze your data for the purpose of providing the Service.
AI-Generated Output: As between you and DataScope, you own the AI-generated analyses, insights, charts, and reports ("Output") produced from data you upload. DataScope does not claim ownership of your Output. Because Output is generated in part by automated AI systems and, where applicable, human expert review, it may not be unique - similar input data or questions can produce similar Output for other users, and DataScope makes no representation that your Output is exclusive to you.
6. DATA PRIVACY
Your privacy is important to us. Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.
7. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We delete your data 30 days after termination; until then you can ask us at support@datascope.digital for a copy of it. Unused credits bought within the last 14 days are refunded, unless the purchase itself was fraudulent.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataScope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
9. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. DataScope does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
AI Output Accuracy: Insights, summaries, and recommendations generated by our AI models may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and are provided for informational purposes only. AI-generated Output does not constitute financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for independently reviewing and verifying any AI-generated Output before relying on it for business or other decisions. Expert Touch review, where purchased, reduces but does not eliminate this risk.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. If you use the Service as a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where its law gives you that right.
11. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
